Calico Ghost Town Overview

An overview of the Calico Ghost Town in the Mojave Desert. The town was once owned by Walter Knott who used this real ghost town as the model for his Calico Ghost Town section of Knott's Berry Farm.

This photo is looking south towards the parking lot and covers about half of the town.  The shops and buildings line the main street with part of the Calico and Odessa railroad visible at the far left.
